Frequently Asked Questions

The questions overseas forwarders and food exporters ask us most often — answered plainly.

Are you a freight forwarder or an agent?

We are a licensed international logistics company based in Shenzhen, acting as your China-side partner. For overseas forwarders we operate under your brand and your rates — we do not compete with you for your customer.

What temperature ranges can you handle?

−25°C for frozen seafood and meat, −18°C for general frozen, 0°C to +4°C for chilled, and +15°C to +25°C for ambient food. Temperature is recorded and logged on every leg, and the log is sent to you after departure.

Can you consolidate cargo from several suppliers into one container?

Yes. We collect from multiple factories, store at the required temperature, then consolidate, palletize and load as a single container with one set of export documents. This is most of what we do for restaurant and supermarket clients.

What documents can you prepare?

Commercial invoice and packing list review, export declaration, CIQ, health certificate, certificate of origin including Form A and Form E, and label translation. We also support FDA prior notice for US-bound food.

How fast can you quote?

Within one business day for standard reefer FCL. Urgent bookings are handled the same day on WhatsApp.

Can you handle non-food cargo?

Yes — general cargo and project cargo, including restaurant fit-out materials, are handled by the same team.

What is the minimum shipment size?

Reefer FCL from one 20’RF. For smaller volumes we consolidate LCL food cargo where the destination allows it.

Do you offer credit terms?

Qualified overseas forwarders and restaurant groups can apply for monthly settlement instead of paying per shipment. Terms are agreed case by case after the first few shipments.

How do you handle a temperature failure?

Every leg is logged. If a deviation occurs you receive the log and a written explanation, and we work with the carrier on a claim where applicable. We would rather show you the data than explain it away.

Can you source suppliers in China for us?

We do not act as a buying agent, but we can consolidate from multiple suppliers you have already contracted and check cartons and labels at intake.

Which languages do you work in?

English and Chinese. Documentation is issued in English unless the destination requires otherwise.

How do I start?

WhatsApp +852 6959 6793, email alan@zct-logistics.com, or use the quote form. A product list, origin city and destination port is enough to begin.

Do you work with the end customer directly?

No. Never. We only work with freight forwarders. Every shipment runs under your brand, quoting goes to you, and every question we have gets asked of you — not your customer.

Can you handle cargo coming into China from overseas?

Yes. Import customs clearance, inspection and CIQ for food cargo, bonded or temperature-controlled storage, and delivery to the consignee in China, with temperature logs on arrival for cold chain cargo. We are also looking for reliable agents who can handle export at their end.

How do we become your agent in our country?

Send us the countries and ports you cover, roughly what you move, and whether you have customs licence scope at your end. There is no network agreement and no membership fee — we start with one shipment and take it from there.

Do you compete with the forwarders you work for?

No. We have no sales team working outside China and no interest in building one. Our business depends on partners sending their China shipments to us, so keeping away from your customer is in our own interest as much as yours.

Which Chinese ports can you clear imports through?

Every major port — Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao and Tianjin, among others. We are not limited to South China, and we also deliver to inland cities.

Can you be the consignee of record for imported food?

Yes. We hold a food consignee record filing (食品收货人备案), so we can be named as consignee for imported food shipments and handle import clearance, CIQ, health certificates and Chinese labelling. Most overseas forwarders and most Chinese buyers cannot do this themselves.

Where does your inbound cargo come from?

Mainly North America and Europe. Those are also the two regions where we are actively looking for agents to work with.

Still have a question?

WhatsApp is fastest — we usually reply within a couple of hours during Shenzhen business hours.
